Nask Studio designed the photobook Hong Kong: Perspectives, Prospectives, Typologies, a striking visual study of Hong Kong’s residential architecture, captured by Swiss-Italian artist Pascal Greco between 2012 and 2017. Featuring 135 Polaroids, the series documents the city’s evolving housing typologies across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories.
The design of this 224-page limited edition publication embraces Greco’s rigorous photographic approach, enhancing the rhythm and structure of his work. With a canvas-bound, hand-sewn cover, offset black-and-white printing, and a layout that respects the intimacy of the original Polaroid format, the book presents an understated yet powerful exploration of Hong Kong’s urban landscape. Published by Infolio Editions (Switzerland) and MCCM Creations (Hong Kong), it includes texts by Dr. Ernest Chui, Hendrik Tieben, Evelyn Ting, and Paul Tse, offering a multilingual perspective in English, Chinese, and French.
Through a meticulous balance of form, materiality, and narrative, Nask Studio’s design amplifies the essence of Greco’s work—turning his strict photographic methodology into a compelling visual experience that captures the city’s shifting architectural identity.
