Amianimal Amimalami is a micro-edition for children, born from a collaborative workshop with 14 kids. Inspired by the book Mein Esel Benjamin by Hans Limmer (Sauerländer Editions), this project breathes new life into the original text through the boundless imagination and creative talent of the young participants.
During the workshop, each child reinterpreted and illustrated excerpts from the original story. The result is a unique collective work that blends spontaneity, freshness, and freedom of expression. The illustrations, created by the children themselves, offer an authentic and playful vision of the narrative, where Benjamin the donkey becomes the meeting point between the literary universe of the past and the contemporary creativity of its young readers.
This special edition was printed in Geneva in 2016 by Éditions Näse, in a carefully crafted format that celebrates artisanal micro-publishing and collaborative storytelling. Amianimal Amimalami is more than a book: it is a joyful testament to the dialogue between an author’s words and the unique perspective of childhood.
