Nask Studio collaborated with photographer Nicolas Savary on the design of the photo book “Conquistador,” which presents an extraordinary visual narrative drawn from the extensive archive of Louis de Boccard (1866-1956). A Swiss nobleman who was exiled in Argentina in the late 1880s and later passed away in Paraguay, de Boccard’s life is captured through a remarkable collection of photographs, correspondence, historical documents, press articles, and diaries.
Nask Studio designed the book concept and curated the editorial management, overseeing the entire production process. Our approach aimed to enhance the richness of the content while ensuring a cohesive and engaging presentation that resonates with the historical significance of de Boccard’s experiences. The resulting photo book not only showcases Savary’s photographic artistry but also preserves the legacy of a fascinating individual whose life spanned continents and epochs.
