Nask Studio had the pleasure of designing the art book “Insert Coins” for Swiss artist and photographer Christian Lutz. Released by editor André Frère in May 2016, this publication captures the vibrant yet paradoxical essence of Las Vegas.
“Las Vegas has imposed its lights and dreams in the heart of the Mojave Desert. Sin City, the primary city in Nevada, is a leading U.S. tourist destination, praised for its extraordinary experiences. The city’s lucrative economy and ever-growing population make it an attractive employer. Even amid financial crises, Las Vegas seduces with its sparkling, ultra-liberal environment, monumental casino-hotels, and iconic Strip. This stronghold of mafia and prostitution combines extremes and excesses, where gambling and sex prevail, and fates are decided by poker or roulette.”
Nask Studio’s design for “Insert Coins” mirrors the dazzling allure and stark realities of Las Vegas, presenting a visual narrative that is both captivating and thought-provoking. The book spans 96 pages, measuring 19 x 24 cm, and is published by André Frère Éditions.
