NASK Studio embarked on a transformative journey with the International Academy of Ceramics (AIC-IAC), one of the world‘s oldest and most prestigious ceramics institutions. The goal was to redefine the institution’s branding and communication strategy for a global audience, honoring its dual English and French heritage. NASK developed a versatile logo characterized by contemporary Swiss design, utilizing Swiss typefaces Euclid and Circular, and drawing inspiration from the geometric principles of ceramics. This innovative logo symbolizes perpetual motion, allowing for multiple interpretations—AIC for French readers and IAC for English readers.
Beyond graphic design, the project included comprehensive communication strategies, both digital and print, to highlight the academy‘s rich history, vibrant community, and unique position in the art world. With NASK’s support, the AIC-IAC successfully enhanced its international communication and marketing strategies, culminating in a rejuvenated and impactful brand presence. This project won Gold for Best Company Logo at the European Design Awards in 2016.
